Ulrike Fischer was born in 1962 on a Westphalian farm in Germany, where she grew up within an extended family. Ever since she was given her first fountain pen, stories have simply kept flowing out of it. She has published various children´s books and lives in a hillside village in Münster together with her husband, child and dog.
Katrin Oertel studied book illustration at the Münster School of Design. Since 2006 she’s been working as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer and author for national and international publishers. She creates her cheerful, funny and sometimes cheeky works in a small inspirational half-timber house on the edge of Münster.
