Polli can’t wait for the summer holidays to begin! Her gran has recently behaved rather mysteriously and that can only mean one thing: Polli is finally getting a pet of her own. No, not just any pet, but the one she wishes for the most: a llama! Her gran, however, didn’t get the memo, which becomes apparent when she introduces her family to Hari, her Indian boyfriend whom she intends to marry. After the initial surprise, the rest of the family is soon taken by Hari by storm. Only Polli can’t warm up to him since he has, by extension, shattered her llama dreams. One thing’s for certain: She needs a plan to set things right!

Franziska Gehm

Franziska Gehm, born in 1974, studied in Ireland and the UK, worked in Austria and Denmark, and now lives with her family in Munich, working as an author and translator. She has published numerous children’s and YA novels, which have been translated into many languages. As soon as her books will be published in Llamanian, she'll go on a reading tour to the Andes.

Barbara Jung

Barbara Jung was born in Karlsruhe, studied communication design in Mainz, and has been illustrating children’s and young adult literature ever since. After detours to Regensburg, Bremen, Mannheim, and Lepzig, she is now commuting between Frankfurt and Eckernförde always on the look-out for new impressions and stories, which she turns into pictures – preferably with a dash of humour.
