Maria Over was born in Athens in 1972. She spent a lot of her childhood on the move and travelled from country to country during her time as an art student until graduating with a Master of Arts from New York University. The city and her work as an art director provided lots of inspiration, but Maria has now traded the action for quiet Munich and life as a freelance illustrator. These days, she loves illustrating children’s books the most, makes up enchanted worlds, and paints animals and flowers in watercolours.
Miriam Fritz was born and raised in Cologne. Even in kindergarten, she loved nothing more than getting to choose new coloured pencils from the store room. That’s why after finishing school, she went straight to Hamburg, where she studied illustration at the HAW. To satisfy her second passion, nature, she followed that with a bachelor’s degree in biology. As a freelance illustrator, she loves combining both interests. She finds inspiration travelling all over Europe with her partner, campervan, and dog Nala.
